LO1 KTA 4: ASA and copyright information

Advertising standards authority-is a non-statutory body but provides a code of practice for advertising

  1. Adverts should not cause offence
  2. Adverts should not glorify alcohol, sexual activity, drugs taking
  3. Advert should  not cause harm to children
  4. Adverts should not be misleading
  5. Adverts should not give false information about  what they are selling/promoting or exaggerate claims made.

The ASA covers broadcast media  TV, film trailers, radio, direct market, web  and print media paper and magazines
